hello all. I AM NEEDINg a bit of help setting up my media center extender on my pc.
I AM trying to network my 360 to my pc.my pc found the 360 and asked me if i wanted to set up the extender, so i click yes.
after following all the instructions, the media center attempts to launch on my tv screen , but then it says on my tv screen"CONNECTION TERMINATED THE XBOX360 has been disconnected because an application launched UI unexpectantly".??????????
thats as far as i get, and the 360 starts over trying to connect??
please someone help if you can, has anyone here ever successfully used the 360 as an extender???
thanks for any help!!!:)

Good old Microsoft, only they could make a home user product crash on a console...

You may have better luck getting help on an Xbox forum.

That doesn't make sense. Port forwarding is for getting a computer outside of the home network into it.

I don't know if this will be any help, but a while ago I made a tutorial on how to set up an Xbox 360 as a Media Center Extender. http://mypieceoftheinter.net/archives/264

Good luck!

Try it, I had to do it (http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm)

I've done port forwarding for uTorrent and Remote Desktop, but both of those are for accessing things inside the home network from the outside...
