It's my very first time trying a Sega Saturn emulator and I had no luck running "Castlevania: Nocturne in the Moonlight" (a.k.a. "Symphony of the Night", Saturn version). I've tried SSF, Yabause and Cassini and only Yabause ran the game, but very slow (just like Nintendo DS emulators; I think you get me, right?).
Any help? I already have the BIOS just in case.

I should be super moderator.. Joking! :)
I can run Castlevania X Nocturne in the Moonlight without a problem. Yeah, it is in Japan only. Here:
I'm using JAPAN BIOS and daemon tool 3.47 but cdr work fine too...
Make sure you go to OPTIONS:
Change to JAPAN BIOS which is SEGA 100.bin
Area Code should be JAPAN
And Daemon Tool should be green and change it to 1 drive.
I am huge fan of Castlevania! :D

How come I haven't seen this thread in the unread posts list?
Maybe the BIOS is the problem, since I got the american version. And yes, the game is in Japanese.

ROFL!

Still cannot get SSF to run. I got the japanese BIOS and all :(
I could run it on another emulator, but it's as slow as NO$GBA 2.5.

Odd. Is your japanese bios a SEGA 100.bin ?
What version of daemon do you use ? Mine is 3.47 and some higher version doesn't seems to work from what I heard but I never tried the higher version anyway. Make sure you have the latest SSF version is SSF .009 Alpha R2. :)

My japanese BIOS says SEGA_101.BIN.
SSF version is .009 Alpha R2.
I've also read it requires a Core 2 Duo processor?
Remember I have a 32-bit processor (Pentium 4 2.4 GHz single core).

Try 100.bin
Yeah, it requires a Core 2 Duo processor.. But not all games. :)

I'm having a similar problem. The area code is in Japan, and I've tried using 100.Bin, and 101.bin. The ISO claims to be (U), but isn't that impossible? As such, I ignore it.
Also, is it normal for the startup screen to be the same no matter what BIOs you're using? I saw they were different from screenshots.
Okay, I just tried using both 0.09 and .08...Same problem each time: Disc is unsuitable for this system.

No, you must have certain region to run the game or it will say "Disc is unsuitable for this system.
I never have a problem as you can seen above for the screenshot. I am using 100.bin and this game is japan and 100.bin is japanese bios and in the options of ssf where you need to set it to Area Code JAPAN.
No problem at all for me. I run many games depend on area code and certain bios and no problem at all still. :)

I understand you have no problem. But I do. I'm doing everything the same way you are. Same version of the emulator, using Japan Area Code, Sega_100.BIN as the BIOs.
