Need some help with a file

ok, so i got this game on my pc, and it's supposed to be a .img file, so i can burn it to a disc and play it, it's deus ex GOTY edition and it's a .mdf file... not a .iso/.img file... how do i get the game to play on my PC

Alcohol 120% (http://www.alcohol-soft.com/) can burn MDF files. Unfortunately it's not free.
