Question about dreamcast console

Hi i saw at an online store that a used dreamcast costed 17.95$
I also saw at a forum that the dreamcast don't need hardware modification(modchip) to play backup copies. You should just make them selfbootable,which many games i have downloaded are.

I am asking of you is it true that Dreamcast don't need hardware modification just selfbootable backup copies,cause if this the case i am gonna buy it for fun cause i love Dreamcast Shootem Ups?

Yes... you only need .cdi then you are able to burn it with NERO and you are ready to play it on your dreamcast. Buring them with Alcohol 120% program or Nero.

Yes unfortunately that amungst other poor decision was the demise to the DC and Sega for the most part. Burn away.. I have seen every disc play with the boot loader disc in first.

Of course i 've burned many discs with alcohol and when i try them with chankast they work. They are all .cdi yes well i have a few mdf/mds but they are selfbootable too. Yeah i can play all dreamcast games with just 18 dollars.
