I have downloaded the newest version of SSF. When I try to open it it tells me: SSF.exe encountered a erorr and needs to close.

What can I do to prevent this?

Newest SSF version needs any CPU as higher as Intel Pentium 4 and AMD Athlon64. Anything below that will lead to crash.

I have updated that with direct9X and there is no error.
So then what should I do after this?
Do I need to put something in the Saturn BIOS? also in STV BIOS?
how do you setup this please.

thank you

just a note: I found the bin / cue didn't work well. Its better to make the CD first. Not to say that is Necessary, just in my experience. It all depends on if the cdr-plugin likes your drive or not.

Really ?? I run with bin/bue using daemon tool and I used SSF for over 4 years and it works perfectly fine for me before I burn them on CDR. :)

I cant play the dragon force one. Even using daemon tools.
It said unable to mount image(the . cue file) file not accessible?
what does it mean?
Anyway, then I have burned it to CD.
what should I do next tp play the game?

You need to open the .cue file and tell me what in it. Sometime inside it will have C:/ or something that prevent from daemon tools. Just open the .cue file with notepad and copy and paste it here. I will tell you how to fix inside it. :)

Mine's cue here:

FILE "(SAT) Dragon Force.bin" BINARY

REM SESSION 01
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
REM MSF: 00:00:00 = LBA: 0
TRACK 02 AUDIO
INDEX 00 62:31:40
REM MSF: 62:31:40 = LBA: 281365
INDEX 01 62:33:42
REM MSF: 62:33:42 = LBA: 281365

My daemon tool is 3.47 for bin/cue and burn CDR using my real cd/dvd drive -- both works fine without a problem.

sega sega bios is:

sega_100a.bin -----> It's for USA version.

I don't know if copy my .cue file will work but first you said about sega_100a.bin so obviously maybe you dont have sega saturn bios. It is a bios that need to run sega saturn games. I can't tell you where to get it because this forum is not allowed. No, ask for it through pm is a no-no. Try google.com

I have the sega_100.bin US (not sega100a.bin tough)
But I still can't play. Should I copy your .cue file? or maybe I should put something in SSF? I have daemon tools 4.11.2
So show do I setup this things? I have try to put the sega_100.bin in the option menu in SSF n put in the sega bios, then? coz the daemon tools still unable to mount image.

HEY rock man. I am getting there. I can run the SSF but still play the game.
this is where I stuck. What should I put after this?
oh no how do u attached a picture here? I have a screen shot.
btw u know I stuck when you have insert a CD in sega saturn. It looks like that.
where u can choose language, then time and soon. where I put the cue or bin then?

I can mount using the daemon now.
I change the FILE "DRAGON_FORCE.BIN" BINARY to FILE "DRAGON FORCE.BIN" BINARY
without underscore. However, it said that the game disc unsuitable for this system.
why is that? is it because of the BIOS or the CUE file. czoz the our cue file is diff.

thx

You are still doing wrong. Didn't you use the daemon 3.47 ? Install it then it will ask you to reboot your computer and please do it.

To put screenshot here.. Using this:

http://www.imageshack.us/

Is your game USA or EUROPE (PAL) ? sega saturn bios certain require which regions your game is from.

Anyway,

"DRAGON_FORCE.BIN" or "DRAGON FORCE.BIN" doesn't matter as long as your game must be the same, for example:

Dragon_Force.bin
Dragon_Force.cue

my bios is US as it said on the website.
btw I can mount the cue on my daemon tools.
however, when I play the the SFF it come up with sega saturn thingy but then it said "game disc unsuitable for the system" ?
is that matter using different daemon version? As long as we can mount the cue, that alright? am I right?

thank you for your help rockman. I really appreciate it. I will keep trying and keep asking if you dont mind.

cheers

Try to change Area Code to US

and

Change CD Drive to daemon's drive and click ok then try your daemon tool's mount again.

Sure. we will keep try and try until you got it. You will! Don't give up!! :D

HEY Rockman. Finally!!! It works. I dont how but I changed the CD Drive to daemon drive I think but it did not work. Then I delete SSF file and install it again and follow up like I did before. It works!! what a strange. However, I still one question about the graphic. This is the image what I got. It looks like about 1 cm thick blurry line then 1 cm fine. is that like that? hopefully u can see my image tough so u understand what I meant. Thanks alot for everything rockman. Next time if I have a problem again, if u dont mind I will ask you bro.

O ya btw could we upgrade the cartridge on SSF? coz its only 4MB which we can save 1 file. Therefore I believe if there is another game that i'm goin to play, then I will lost or have to delete the other saving game? or not?

thx

azoreseuropa
January 11th, 2008, 15:57
I have no idea. As long as it can save and I am happy, that's about it. :)

For 4mb to your question, depend on what games that requires it.. I don't think your game need that but I dont know about have to delete the other saving game. No idea.

do u ever using in SSF to save the game? Like you go to File then State Save?
Do we actually can save the game from there?

azoreseuropa
January 14th, 2008, 16:40
No, I didnt go to File then State Save because I like to play it just the way real console does.

However, you can save the game from there like a real console. If you want to use State Save from SSF then you can do that.. Who's stopping you ? :)
