Going back to desktop ???

I am playing Gran Turismo with the epsxe emulator but it keeps going back to desktop in the middle of a race. It still is running but screen goes back to desktop. I have stopped all background programmes but still it does it . Has anyone else had this problem. I have updated some plug ins and it runs alot better now but still the crash is happening

Stop accidentally pressing the Windows key? Close an application which keeps stealing window focus? e.g. instant messengers.

does epsxe exit and go back to desktop, or is epsxe still open when youre at desktop?

I do believe it's still open when it goes to the desktop. In his other thread he mentioned being able to get back into the game eventually and the music still playing in the background.
