can't get any games to run with any type of emulator

why can't i get any game up and running on emulators. I've even tryed different ones and even different games but still same problem. all i get is a white/black screen and nothing happens when i try to load the game. someone please help me:D

Okay, not sure what "Emulators" nor "Games" your running here plus your PC specs might help. ;) Too me it sound like a DirectX issue, but really can't tell ya.

ive kinda wanted to get pokemon sapphire,smaragd to run. used "visualboyadvanced" "boycotadvance" "desmume" running directx 10 and my comp got a 256 ati radeon graph card 2gb ram windows xp anything more?

Well, not a problem with your PC, sounds like a corrupted file. Let's make sure here. Can you post the file size plus extension? Curious about something here...
