Don't know if helps, but wrote a controller layout in this topic: http://forums.emulator-zone.com/showthread.php?t=11197
Look down to the second to the last topic. ;)

hmmm...my problem is that project64 isn't recognizing the left analog stick on my psx controller. is there a plugin for it? if not, what can i do to make sure that the emu works with my controller?

You must have the analog light on. FYI. Other then that nothing is required the just the HID device driver, but sound like that is ok.

Ulaoulao is quite correct, it sounds like you might not be pressing the button on the controller to enable the analogue sticks.
I use a PS2 controller with a USB adapter with PJ64 and had no trouble, so its either that or the particular adapter you are using doesn't support it.

Sorry, thought you were having problems setting up the controler... Anyway, should already be installed. Look in your Hardware config (Device Manager). ;) It's one of those devices that automaticly install, but that doesn't sound like your problem, it's just not detecting a button, looks like something ulaoulao should know... :)

The Human interface Device is a built in driver with XP you dont need the driver. When you plug in the Joystick it should pop up and say hardware found, then installing human interface device driver... IF this does not happen its because you installed a drive for it manually when you were not to do so. UNLESS you have the smart joy version of PSX2USB that does require a driver for its feed back operation. If in fact you installed a driver for the HID (non smart joy) stick you will have to manually edit the registry to remove the newly assigned ID attached to the device ID, and its a beoch!..
FYI:: if you see your stick in your game pad control panel you already have a driver installed. Like Desert Drifter said look in DM to see what type of driver is installed. Then also make sure your analog stick works in the game panel as well. If it works there, it is not the driver nor joystick, its the emu or user error.

Logitech makes a controller similar or exactly like the PSX or PS2 controller. It only costs 13.00 dollars at Target Stores. It is very durable. The rubber grips on the analog sticks take forever to wear out. I do mean FOREVER! There is no rumble force feedback though. This controller works perfectly with all versions of PJ64 and NRages' Direct Input v0.812 plugin. I hope this helps!

You mean Logitech Dual, eh? Using the same, but a Gamecube controller would work better. :p Can't argue, works great and no problems, so will stick with it for now. ;)
