Seems like their having a hard time of "netplaying" online with emulators, except for ZSNES (Super Nintendo Emu)... Not sure, but then again, don't know what system your going for, though figuring Gameboy Advance...? ;)

Long ago (2001?), i traded pokemon from Pokemon Red to Blue and way another using GBC emulator...so it is possible.
