But now, software analysts testing the latest build 3205 of the beta for Windows XP Service Pack 3 are discovering a wealth of genuinely new features - not just patches and security updates (although there are literally over a thousand of those), but services that could substantially improve system security without overhauling the kernel like in Vista.

According to preliminary reports from Neosmart, testers there found evidence that the company is hardening XP's network security with added features. :)

This reminds me of Sony's problems. XP will decrease the popularity of Vista like the PS2 is outselling the PS3 :D

There are only two reaons the PS3 is outsold by Ps2. The game library is better and the PS2 is way cheaper and you aren't forced to pay for crap like technologies you don't really want/need... *cough*blu-ray*bough*

That's a bit different from Microsoft's issues with XP/Vista save the the fact they are both offering older products that are more appealing than the current new stuff. Vista will eventually surpass XP as long as that is MS' plan. Sony's problem may not be something time can fix until they either kill the PS2 or take a huge loss and sell the PS3 for the same price or less
