Can't Read Text (MAME 0.119)

I downloaded the new new MAME 0.119 and when I hit TAB to being up the menu, all of the text is messed up. Only a few letters/numbers come out clear, everything else looks like a white box.

Here's what it looks like.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Just out of curiosity were you missing a FONT or something ?
