Visual Boy Advance Save Game

Well i downloaded a version of visual boy advance to play pokemon leaf green and played it for a while. Then I downloaded another version of visual boy advance because it is a better version ( so I now have 2 vba's).

I tried loading my saved game from the first vba onto the new vba but it wouldn't load. Is it possible to load a saved game from one visual boy advance to another? Thanks.

Ingame save or shift-F1 save ?

Check the name of the save game, it must be same with the rom name.

My experience, I play rom Poke-Emerald.zip and generate save file Poke-Em~.sav. The emulator changed and it cannot be load. I must change the save file name to Poke-Emerald1.sav
