I actually got a good idea for Developers or what ever. What if emulators can run in DOS mode so that your computer power fully runs on only the emulator. Because pretty much the idea is computers can handle emulators for XboX 360 PS3 etc etc. But its only because Windows pretty much takes half the juice of your computer just to run Windows but in DOS mode all your computer power will be directly to the emulator and it would be able to run it with no lag or problem no?
this was just an idea that i got this morning i thought i would post it somewhere...If i dont make since...please tell me :/

You're asking heaven. Consoles and PCs have different hardware architecture and requires a lot of work to develop an emulator outside of Windows. Plus, they require a core component which is DirectX and consequently it needs Windows.
We won't see any current gen emulator in a long, long time.

Not to mention that even if a current top spec quad cored PC had no other demands on its processor at all it still wouldn't have the grunt necessary to emulate all of the processors, graphics and memory chips in a current gen console.
As Butters quite rightly said, not for a long time.....if ever. Processor speeds have pretty much reached their maximum (at about 4ghz) which is why manufacturers are now moving to multiple cores which also has physical limits. I can't see them ever manufacturing a mass market processor that could handle current gen emulation. And I don't think there will be too many people running the dozens of networked machines that would be necessary to even attempt it.
