View Full Version : Need help: My EPSXE has the hiccups !

After taking a long hiatus from ePSXe, I reinstalled the program ( version 1.6.0 ) on my computer along with a few psx roms.

These games ran perfect before, but now it seems my ePSXe 1.6.0 has a case of the hiccups!

Example: I am playing Castlevania Chronicles and about every 4 seconds the music spits out like a machine gun and everything on the screen pauses for about a 1/2 second. The game is still playable, but the glitch is very annoying.

Granted my plugin settings may not be exactly what they were. But I have tried every config and plugin I can think of.

Please advise. Thanks.

Hello mapzilla,

Hmm... Where you using PSemu if so your psx plugin registry maybe corrupt. you will have to delete the reg.

You can delete the reg like this

Start>Run (hit enter) type regedit (hit enter)

then look for HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Vision Thing

Right click on Vision Thing and select delete. ( To be on the safe side you may want to export it but, it does not matter because the reg gets recreated when you open any Psx plugin based emulator.)
