View Full Version : Very irritating bug in Spiderman (And it's not the red and blue guy)

Hi I was hoping someone could help me. Basically I'm playing the N64 Spiderman game on the 1964 emulator. Every game runs fine graphically and audio-wise. My PC is a decent spec and good enough to run an emulator.

So here's the bug. I get to the 4th mission (I think?) where you have to keep up with Venom and track him to his hideout. So I follow him for a while, and we crash into that building where the cutscene of lots of crashes and screams commenses. The cutscene ends with Venom flying out of the window onto a nearby building. Before I am am able to regain control of spiderman, he attemps to swing onto the same building. Unfortunately, for some IDIOTIC reason, he tries to do a little too early, and jumps into the side of the exit point of the building I was in, swings his web into it, and tries to crawl up it. Of course he gets nowhere and just tries to climb up this wall right into a ceiling. When he finally stops and lets me move, Venom has already gone far enough for me to fail the mission.

There is no way out of this that I am aware of, because whilst Spidey is auto moving, I can't press any button to stop him. I've even tried unplugging my controller and plugging it back in at that moment, but he still tries to climb up this building a little too early and I always end up losing Venom.

Anyone know how to fix this?? I am greatly appriciative of anyone who will take their time to try and help me.

Use Project 64. The 1964 emulator has bugs.(Maybe...)

Hmm well this may sound stupid but I can't.

You see I downloaded and installed it a while back, but I found that 1964 worked easier for me and the games I wanted to play, so I went ahead and deleted the Project 64 files, forgetting it was an install. So now when I try to take it off the Add or Remove Programs list, it keeps checking for the files and then looks for them on a CD. Of course it doesn't find them so it doesn't uninstall properly, yet all the files are gone. The main problem is that when I download any Project 64 emulators that are reasonably new updates, it wont install them because it sees the program as already installed and the setup fails.

So the most recent Project64 I can get is the newest Project 64k, and the graphics struggle on this game with any plugin I try.

Any help would be appriciated :(

If you have to put a "Maybe" after an assertion a program has bugs, maybe you should hold off on such comments in the future.

Some plug-ins has some problems. (For example My friend's game, The Zelda Oricana of Time in P64 has major graphical glitches.) Try changing it. [Im a fan of N64 Pokemon and Mario Games Only.] (11/03/07)
