Help needed with emulator...

I DLed the VisualBoyAdvance from this site, and had my friend send me Pokemon Emerald, but no matter what I do I can't get the damned thing to work. She got the file from --SNIPPED--.

I can almost open the file, but all it does is say 'loaded battery' and then flashes number percents on the title bar, showing nothing on the screen.

I downloaded DirectX, but I still get nothing. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Desmume doesn't support Pokemon D/P. You need to use ideas or no$gba to play it. In my opinion no$gba is the best ds emulator and a great one too, ideas is good but still needs some work, and as for desmume it is very far behind no$gba and ideas and needs A LOT more work. I suggest you get no$gba.

I just now realized that x_x I'm so dumb. I editted my first post, because now I'm having problems with the GBA emulator...
