House of the Dead Not Working

Help! I got MAME32 downloaded House of the Dead ROM then put it in my ROM folder (and yes it was zipped) Double clicked on it's name then i have a few files missing error. I really need help.

What version of MAME are you using? Sounds to me like you need a version of the rom that is up to date with the emulator. Try looking for the romset that is the same as the emulator version.

Then you will have to google "Mame .116 romset" to find it. Can't link here to a website that has the romset, and its down right now anyway.

House of the dead is still preliminary so it may not work well even if you get it to run id suggest a sega model 2 emulator but youl need a good pc

I got House of the Dead for the right emulator it does work but I can only see the HUD while the shoot screen was pitch black

Good but you need to update to mame 117u1. It is out already.

As I know The House Of The Dead doesn't need emulator to play...Right??
