Your sure your ISO is good?
Did you unzip the file?
Try to use another burning program.
A screenshot would help since I can look up the problem maybe.

Are you needing it to be able to play on the PS2 (I'm guessing that's what system it's for) because if not you could always Zip it and burn the zip to dvd just means you'd have to unzip it before playing on another pc

Try another burning program for your ISO.. I usually use Nero and set the speed one or two options lower than maximum for safety..
As for Phantasy Star.. You need a DVD burner and DVD write-able disc, I'm guessing you don't have those

I think he does Zach or why on the img he's posted would he ask "How do I compress it so it can fit in a dvd with 4.7 gig?"

Didn't actually click it.. so good point..
Just buy a dual layer DVD.. Pretty sure you can get them in small packs without having to buy a spindel.. Pretty expensive though, but probably the only way you're gonna fit in on there as a functional, working disc you can pop in the drive.
If you just want to store it for backup, then 7-zip it.

www.7-zip.org
After you install that, you can use the contenxt (right-click) menu and the option to for 7zip will be there.. It opens another menu.
Just select either the ISO, or the files already there and select add to archive.. that's it.. Select ULTRA compression, and checkmark "create solid archive"... I would select the ISO as there is no point in trying to further compress files that have already been compressed before that.
It may takes a few minutes or a few hours depending on how fast your PC is, and how difficult the file is to compress.. And there are still no guarantees.. That's why it's easier to just buy a dual layer DVD.

I was going to say, try to do a RAW DVD burn with Alcohol 120% if possible. That is what i do with Dreamcast games that are over 700MB. I don't think that will work since its not just a few MB over the limit. Best you go the Dual Layer route.
