Newbie question

I'm new to the emulating world. I was wondering about link, now before you go for f*** sake not another one, please hear me out.
I'm playing Pokemon:
[LIST]

1. Is it possible to trade from an emulator ROM to a hard copy of the game on a real Gameboy?
2. Can I convert a link cable to have a USB connector on it to use as a link up between Gameboy and PC emulator?

Any help would be greatfully received.
