fire red freezing on vba

Someone help please. In firered when i go to pass the guy who teaches u how to catch a pokemon he talks and says hes going to teach me, then the game just freezes but the music continues.. Does anyone know whats wrong? O and by the way internal saving is working and i didnt need a patch.

hey i have vba playing pokemon firered and i did the "mew in box1 slot1" code so now i have a obeying mew but when ever i got into my pc to get pokemon in/out the screen gos black and i have to reload or reset the screen stays black i have waited there for 20 mins and its still black HELP ME PLZ!!!!
