Pokemon battery?

Is there anyway to get the game to make time based events?

Everytime ive ever ran a pokemon rom it tells me "the battery has run dry, time based events wont occur". Does that mean i can experience part of the game?

Is there any way to fix this.

(i searched around i saw something about a"battery file, ima look for it, anyone kno where i should start?)

GO TO OPTIONS THEN YOU WILL SEE EMULATOR THAN GO TO SAVE TYPE AND CHANGE IT INTO FLASH 128 K
