game saves on zsnes

alright i'm new to the emulation deal and i don't know how to use the game saves. i downloaded one for ff3 and got two files - ff3.zst and ff3ps.frm. i tried loading a game save and all it says is unable to load save 1,2, etc. etc. i have one in 0 and it loads it fine. so my question is - how do i load a game save so i can play it? thanks in advance.

.zst files are not save files, but save state files, which is different. A SNES save file has the .srm extension.

i am also having a problem saving my game on the zsnes. i dont understand how to load it to play later once i have saved it. nothing i do seems to work. can some one help me out with this please.

Make sure your save state is located where your ROM is. To access your save state slots, press F3 and load with F4.
