Thread: Converting Saves to VBALink??

    Default Converting Saves to VBALink??

I'm trying to convert my sav. files over to VBALink.
I have Visual Boy Advanced, running Pokemon LeafGreen,
and i'm trying to use the trade like,
As if i was using the Wireless Adapter on the pc.
So when i downloaded VBALink, i opened the Pkmn ROM,
and it started up fine. but then when i try to open from my last save slot it crashes. Apparently it uses a diff sav. format than the regular VBA.
Does anyone know how to properly convert the VBA sav. files
    to the VBALink emulator?
or a patch that i can download that will jsut upload VBALink to my current VBA emulator?

and yes i have searched the forums and google for the answer.
    thanks in advance.

If you had done a search of the forums you would have figured it out.
Export the battery from your VBA and import it to your VBA Link.
They work off the same save types.

    OK.
Open up VBA and load the ROM that your wanting to use.
as soon as you see 'Loaded battery' at the bottom click

    File>>Export>>Battery file.
Save it then move the game and sav files to the folder where your VBA Link are.
Open the VBA Link and run the rom then click
    File>>Import>>Battery file
    and select the battery file.

If you did it right it will load your sav game and there ya go.
