Well, not even that worked. What it may be, is that my video card is just plain too old. Updating drivers from NVidia did not work. Thanks anyway.

Yeah, even my old 850 MHz Celeron with shitty DirectX5 or 6 card supports it.
Another possible cause is that your card acceleration has been disabled through the BIOS (VRAM size, which requires at least 8 MB of video) or through DirectX (diagnostic tool).
