well maybe the region of your rom is different
Hey, I am new to the forums. And I am also new to the whole VBA/Gameshark thing. I have serched and found a couple things. But it still doesn't work. If someone could go through step-by-step, that would be very appreciated.
I am getting my codes from this site:
http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbad...merald_par.txt
It is from gamefaqs. That is where I was told was a reliable site to get gameshark codes. I am also wanting to get codes for Pokemon Emerald.
So, this is what I do:
Cheat > Cheat List > Gameshark...
And I am going to use the bulbasaur as an example.
BULBASAUR
25214170 0AB256A2
95CCF842 A51B89F8
2E7B7A58 D0781742
D52902CA 343CF38A
I am not sure what in those 4 lines of code to put. I have tried to just put one whole line(25214170 0AB256A2) but that doesn't work.
if someone could like take a s/s of the cheat code in gameshark on VBA for me to look at., that would also be helpful.
well maybe the region of your rom is different
What region do I need to have?Originally Posted by Alexander_13
That walkthrough given above didn't explain which version is indicated for the game itself (whether it is Japan, Europe or USA) as every version has different codes for the game.Originally Posted by vision.
So, try to make sure that what version/region that your Pokemon Emerald game is before looking for codes.![]()
Well, I got the game from this site:
http://www.doheth.co.uk/roms/
Can you tell me what region it is? I have no clue how to tell![]()
first off, REMOVE the link to the rom. (it's site rules, you don't wanna be caught)
second of all, the pokemon changing codes require a seperate master code and thus vba can't use it, so in other words, your not doing anything wrong, but that code will only work on a real GBA.
edit: but if you do want to get certain pokemon, get pokemon ruby, use the wild pokemon codes for that game (hunt them down) then trade em using vba link.
