Question about dolphin emulator

Hellow i downloaded the dolphin emulator and ahven a few proms with it. I have a few games in iso formate and also gcm and the dolphin loads them up but one it is really slow or it wont move past the start up screens or just locks up. Also the FPS that shows in the bottom corner like 2-4 fps seems kinda low. Can someone send me a link how how to work the dolphin right so i can play the games. Also is there an easy waqy yo change the control for keybaord so it works better. If there are is any more info u need to help me fix this let me know.

GameCube emulation is not, let's say, playable at the moment, so don't bother with it.
