Erratic Sound and FMVs (FF8)

During the starting credits and into movie, the sound and picture will stop, start, go to fast, pause, continue, stop, go to slow, ect. I don't know how to fix this, as I've tried everything. Oh, and this is with a fps limit of 60 enabled. I'm using ePSXe and Pete's sound and graphics plugins. Any and all help is appreciated.

Is Use FPS limit enabled ?

Just asking 'cuz you know if you only Limit framerate to 60fps you might not get that limit...

Try using PEOpS Soft GPU plugin and PEOpS DSound Audio Driver.

Yeah, it's enabled.

I'll try those plugins and post the results.

Guh, new sound problem. In scripted events, most female character's footsteps are loud clunking sounds. I know it's the plugin because I tried the default ePSXe sound and the footsteps were normal. I know this isn't a big problem, but it's quite annoying. If you have any ideas, please share.

Try other plugins...or play with the settings on that PEOpS DSound driver.

Try Eternal SPU plugin and check "Update access before register"

Btw, you can use Pete's GPU plugins with FFVIII, as long as you enable "Unfiltered framebuffer updates" so FMVs will run faster. "Fast" mode should help too, then try to use higher values on "Texture Quality", "Filtering", etc
