Help with Project64!

I have recently downloaded Project64 and a few games, but the thing is i dont know how to change the controls to work on a keyboard. I click on Options > Configure Controller Plugin... which brings up the 'Configure Imput' window. Am I in the right place to change the controls? I have already fiddled about with the boxes headed by 'Analog Stick', 'C-buttons' and 'Digital' but non seem to work. I have also unchecked the box saying 'Controller is plugged in'. Can anyone help?! Thanks alot!
