Game Frozen

Hi was playin' Final Fantasy 8 and i was in the third CD, when the ragnarok was suspendin' the gravity and suddenly the game just freese, well, not freese at all, just... the music is playin', the stars of the background are movin' and thats all, i spend like an hour to see what happen and nothin' at all!!!! please! some of my friends told me to DL some patch and i did it but nothin' is happenin' 'coz i don't even know what to do...
i so soooorrry for been a nuisance but i'm kinda lonely here and i don't know what to do.
also i was at the end of Breath of Fire III and in the end i can't pass throught the statues...

I'd try another ePSXe version like 1.5.2, or PSXeven for FF8. The patches are only needed when:
1) You have the original game discs and want to play them directly on PC emulators
2) You have CD backups and want to play it on the real PSX console. Any kind of soft/hardmod will be also needed.
