I use FCE Ultra the best NES emu.
First off, I am aware that there are probably better emulators for NES available at this point in time, but I have always been a fan of nesticle and would like to continue using it.
Nesticle runs fine on my personal computer at home, as well as on my brother's laptop (we bought ours at relatively the same time - both new), but for some reason, nesticle fails to load on my new laptop. When I open it, the screen turns black and nothing happens. I am forced to alt-tab out of the black screen and kill the program with task manager. I have all of the required files, such as DOS4GW, and I have no idea how to fix this.
Has anyone heard of anyone else having this problem? And does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I hate half of you...especially the dumb ones.
Some of you are on my blacklist and so shall be any asswife that tries to prove he's worth anything.
If this post somewhat offends your silly arse, then I proved my point.
You have been warned so don't cry to your momma about it later on...or any mods for that matter.
Yeah, the best thing to do would be to use a different emulator.
NEStopia and FCE Ultra are good choices
The only thing Nesticle has going for it is its awesome name...
Nesticle hasn't been updated in close to 10 years, which is an eternity in the computer world. It leaves alot to be desired versus current emulators.
As for the current ones, I recently tested just about every NES emulator out there, and found FCE Ultra to be hands down the best. Try it with HQ3X mode.
