There is nothing wrong with defending P2P technology. It has plenty of legitimate uses. The issue here is not about people owning up to breaking the law. The fact is, while the majority may or may not do it, there is a group of users who share illegal materials. Using P2P itself is not a crime, and does not make you guilty of anything.
Like was stated before, it's what you DO with the technology that decides if the act is illegal or not. The biggest offenders are people who download MP3's and talk about how they are boycotting the RIAA or whoever, and act like it justifies them downloding it.. But the sad truth is the wankers are still using an RIAA product, it's just in a digital form.
In any case, none of that has been mentioned in this thread.. I don't see where this "own up to it" attitude is coming from in this case. As for the thread itself, it read like annoying spam from a user who will never post here again, and that, in my opinion, is grounds for deletion..
