Default ePSXe Final Fantasy Origins on SiS651

    Hi, everyone

I have downloaded the latest version of ePSXe 1.6.0 and have unRARed and am trying to run the Final Fantasy Origins image using Daemon Tools. The CD ROM is detected, but the command line under the ePSXe GUI shows that the program gets stuck after the SPU open... line. I've tried waiting for about 20 minutes, but it's still stuck there. I haven't tested all the plug-ins yet - only Pete's D3D and OpenGL plugins (all four of them) and the software one. I have tried turning off sound, but that did not work either.

My system is dual-boot - Windows 98 and 2000 - running on a P4B 2.8 GHz, with a SiS651 motherboard with 128MB RAM (minus the 16 used by the integrated SiSGPU). I'm using Daemon Tools 4.7.

    Happy New Year, everyone!!!!

Welcome, Cat. Well, have you tried with an earlier version of ePSXe, like 1.5.2? I've had the same problem with Final Fantasy Tactics and then I switched to an earlier version.

Perhaps it's not a SPU problem but CD one. Make sure the DT unit is correctly detect by the CDr plugin, I recommend Peops or Sapu. On win98 you'll need to install ASPI with the forceASPI installation.

Also the integrated SiSGPU should be a problem because its low performance
