Are you sure it's the windows version?
Hey, I just got the latest version of Zsnes emulator for windows, but when I unzip it and double click on the exe file, the only thing i get is a black screen who by the way, consumes all my CPU power, hehe. Heeeeeelp!!!
Are you sure it's the windows version?

Yes, I downloaded the zsnesw142.zip
You can try the latest WIP version, download it below that one. It's also prefered to install the latest DirectX version (8.1 or higher should work anyway), and video card drivers. Your desktop should be set to 16 or 32 bit color depth

The WIP versions doesn't have the online function btw, but have you tried pressing ALT + ENTER when the black window appears? It happens mostly when you are in 32 bit color depht.
Doesn't ever happen to me in 32-bit btw, but go figure

Me neither, but most onboard video chipset shows you a black screen under 32 bits color depth. My brother has an onboard video chipsed.
Hey, I figured out what the problem was. For future reference, the reason I saw a black screen was because in the screen properties, in the configuration tab, inside advanced options theres an acceleration hardware part. I had the controls to none and thats why it didnt work. I set it to complete and now it works perfectly. That makes the computer slower if you dont have enough CPU power. Thanks for your help folks!
