What kind of "convertor" is it? Did you have to install a driver for it?

i dont really know if there is a diffrence in ps2 and ps1 controllers. but nearly all the ps/n64 converters i have seens say they support ps1 not ps2. i would go buy a ps1 controller for a few bucks.. im sure it will work.

WinUAE support any DirectX compatible game pad, such a PSX/PS2 through an USB adaptor, and AFAIK both PSX/PS2 controllers are compatible. Probably it's a problem with WinUAE configuration. I'd give a try using "Configuration#1" instead "Compatibility mode"on WinUAE "Host" -> "Input" menu
