i dont know how to get psx emulators to work

i have epsxe and all the plugins needed but i dont know wat im supposed to do to get anything playing on it. i dont know wat type of files im supposed to get or watever.i just got the emulator about 2 days ago so i have NO idea how to use and everything like that so pease help

now that ive got it working and everything....i was playing FF8 and i went to save it for the first time playing it on my emulator...the screen minimized and it was it was saving it...then when i went to bring it back up it wouldnt come up....it stayed at the desktop tight after the save but i went to c if it actually saved and it didnt....i dont really know much bout my computer but this is all i know: its got a 256.0 MB ram and its a AMD Sempron(tm) 2400"

Why don't you set the configuration as Window mode rather than Full-Screen Size in GPU configuration if you want to play on Window mode.

Note : I don't have that game so, I can't give any confirmation of it though.
