visual boy adv - WHITE SCREEN - wont load pokemon emr and sap and rub... PLEASE HELP*

i downloaded off this site.. have redownloaded twice, and got another version/copy of visual boy .. still when i click OPEN and select the rom - like i do with the other games, it wont load, the visual boy screen just goes white with no text. have waited, and dont know what to do


please help.. cheers
