    Default Program64 controller problem help

    I set up my controller for program64 and i played smash bros and at the beginning it was moving uncontrollably down can some tell me whats wrong?

    Most likely your joystick itself.. I play SSB every now and then and ive never experianced that problem before..

    yeah but i also have a ps1 emulator and the joystick works fine could it be that i configued it wrong how am i soppused to configue it....?

    oh i know the problem, the joystick was not neutral, you have to close the program then restart it, use a save slot to get back where you were, try to get a sturdy, never start a game while holding the joystick, get a more sturdy controllerl
    on a real 64 you should hold L R and start for 3 seconds, on gamecube its X Y start

    ok, ya we held L and R and start but that didn't work..
    does it matter that the controller input is in N-Rage's Direct-input8 V2 1.80a..
    if that DOES matter than what else should i change it too??

    personally i use the default one
    and LRstart only works with the real n64
    if your joystick flimsy in any way that might be the problem, but if you wanna hop on Smash Bros games asap, set the controls to the D-pad instead of the joystick and chill for a while
