I am new here. Hello everyone!
I am here after searching MSN search trying to find out if a Windows XP (Service Pack 2) Home Edition OS computer can run as an emulator? I have this game called Star Gladiators for the original Playstation. It is the only one I have and my most treasured PS game. A 3-D fighter made by Capcom back in the mid-late 90's. I remembered a long time back that the Sega Dreamcast was going to do PS emulation through Bleem software. We all know that didn't really fly off the ground. Well today, I was wondering can a PC do it. I see that it can, but I don't know all that I need to play this 3-D fighter game. I downloaded the following at the Emulation Zone site when it showed the click link for Playstation emulator at the home page: epsxe160; epsxecutor 1063-prerelease; and beta167install.exe. There was a little message at the bottom stating to make sure you download all the necessary plug-ins and so forth. I don't know what I may still need. Right now everything is still "zipped" in the "My Downloads" folder. I won't activate anything just yet. I figure I will need one of those 3-D USB game pad controllers (that look like the Playstation ones) to play effectively. I will go and get one. Question though, since Star Gladiators is up to 2 players will the emulator allow for a second versus player? I have the game disc though.
Can anyone comment on what to do? I really am in the dark. I would also like to say that my computer is a notebook computer with 1 GB of DDRam and it has a hyperthreading processor. I really would appreciate some good help. I really would like to play my game. I no longer have the PS due to selling it off a long time ago and most of my games because I needed money. I have Star Gladiators as it was Capcom's first 3-D fighter and one of my favorites. Sometimes a fav just can't go. Not trying to sound melodramatic, but I would like to see my game play on my notebook computer. It has a 15.4" ultrabright display.![]()
