Setting the environment variable SDL_JOYSTICK_DEVICE to the joystick device, in my case /dev/js1, fixes the problem.
I run the FCEUX NES emulator (version 2.2.1) in GNU/Linux with an analog joypad which is calibrated with jscal. The command jstest shows that the joypad works perfectly. Still when I configure the buttons in FCEUX I get no response for some directions. Any clues? How can I make FCEUX use the calibrated joypad input signals?
