Modern consoles emulation is not good enough yet.
Since my GC is down for the count with the DRE's I thought I'd rip my ToS into a GCM
so I do it and things start off well but then I get into the first opening screen 2FPS!?!??!
how is it only running 2FPS!? I have a 9700 Pro with a P4 2.4GHz Northwood core, how could it only be running 2FPS!?
is there a way I can optimize this a little maybe stop all background procces' while playing?
is anyone getting ANYTHING above 10FPS for any GC game!?![]()

my PC can handle Doom 3/Half Life 2 and any other game out there right now why cant Dolphin use resorces corectly?
That's because Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 were designed for PC and Dolphin is "trying" to emulate GC games on it, I mean, GC games were not designed for PC. Maybe in a couple of years we could play GC games very well, just like ZSNES does with SNES games. The process is slow because it's easier to make a SNES emulator than a GC, PS2 and/or Xbox.Originally Posted by Pseudo

That doesnt make sense
my computer is doing almost no work while the game is running a 2FPS
I mean I would understand if it were 15FP or something, but with 2FPS it doesnt even seem worth them making a GCM emulator

the problem isnt hardware based, the problem is purely coding. gamecube was written on code optimised for certain proprietary hardware. emulator writers have the challenge of converting that code into something our non proprietary hardware can understand
I hate all of you, especially donkeyknob.
Just give it up on trying. The emulator still in the works.Originally Posted by Pseudo
