Good Controller compatible for all?

Hi there!
I post here because I had a bad experience buying a random japanese controller that didn't work at all with any emulator last year -_-.
So I post here, do you know a good controller compatible with a wide variety of emulators? I would like to play like N64 and PS1games, and also if possible snes, nes, gba, etc.. so a solid analogic cross too.
I just don't want to spend 20? in some non-working controller again D:

I can't see what you replied me, like a bug from the characters you use...
Anyway, I think I'm gonna take one of the last logitech gamepad (F310), is it good?

The Xbox360 Controller is compatible with almost every emu.I use it.But it's not a bargain.I got mine for 60$.
Use it on PS1,SNES,NES,GB/GBC,GBA,NDS,GAMECUBE,DREAMCAST,N64,GENESIS,SATURN emulators.
