Default DS Emulator Problem - I guess

Well I got myself a DS emulator (again). The DeSmuMe at first to play some games again.
There is a recent game, pretty new called Harvest Moon: Tale of two towns and the Emulator kinda laggs a lot.
So I got the No$gba as well, but there its lagging even worse.

Now my question is more or less: Is it the Emulator itself or the game? I mean maybe the game is to new for the emulator? xD
    I really have no idea.
So please if anybody can help the stupid me to understand >_<

DS emulation is still in it's early stages so most developers focus on emulation accuracy rather than speed. Don't worry, it's not you.

No problem. Wait a few years, then we may get fast DS emulation.
