Sorting out my pscx2 config to get better fps

So I've recently installed pscx2 and on the default settings I get reasonable fps during loading/menus of games yet when it comes to actually playing, the fps dips to just below 30.

My system is as follows;

windows 7 ultimate 64bit
AMD Phenom II X3 710 2.60GHz
6GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4850 1024MB

Any advice on how to improve my fps would be greatly appreciated. I'm ready for all the posts saying "ohhh herrr derrr improve your system/overclock" and I just want to say; I want to get the best out of what I have, not change the hardware or overclock. Cheers

I don't think your processor is brilliant for it, however, in the graphic settings menu, try enabling the speedhacks.
