Thread: Emulating game from source code?

Default Emulating game from source code?

Well i play a game called Knight Online and i have a copy of the source which is version 1089, the version which is currently out is around 18xx.

I have a copy of the Source which includes (Old version) Server files, Game client.

Now i was wondering how would i go about starting to emulate the Newer client already fully working, with the old source and built up from the old source?

I know im going to have to indulge in a lot of c++ and other things, but where would i start?

    Thanks!

Its a bit hard to extract your intended question here. I think, and its only a guess that you want to know how to take source code and build the executable emulator? If so there are normally build instructions and each source has its own instructions made for that project. You will need an IDE and possible certain induce api's. There is nothing here we can tell you but that. I'd try the forums ( if they exist ) for the project its self.
