Default ePSXe final fantasy game problems

first off if you have a link to another thread sorry about reposting!

my problem is, i have the game files for final fantasy 7, 8, and 9. and in all games when i get to a fight scene, my menu with the attack, magic, item, etc. will not show up. there is just a little blue rectangle in the middle but no menu. its the same in all 3 games, i have tried multiple BIOS files, and downloaded the game from different sources, any help?

EDIT: i have two game files, in .bin and .cue format, if it makes a difference :/

Maybe try a different graphics plugin. Pete's OpenGL2 2.9, perhaps?

Hm.. well you could keep trying different graphics plugins. I'm not too familiar with ePSXe so I don't wanna give you completely wrong advice. :P

You could try googling the preferred configuration settings for the final fantasy games. That's all I got.

    Try DirectX based plugins.
