Why does epsxe keep crashing?

I'm new to emulators and I dont know any technical jargon, so please help me figure this out! I downloaded the playstation1 emulator and i installed the bios and the plugins and everything and I configured everything
but i downloaded crash bandicoot 3 warped from two different sources and both times i tried, epsxe crashed before I could start the game!
what am i doing wrong?

1) it may not be you, are you sure that game runs? Try another game...
2) Its possible the iso is damaged.
3) If it is crashing, does it give any details.
