CAN'T GET ANYTHING TO WORK!!!!

I'm not even sure where to start, but every time I download an emulator it never works.
it will download, and i few icons appear, but every time I click on the icon to load it, it says the same thing every time.. "You can't open the application "(name of emulator)" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported" I have no idea what this means. Can anyone help me out? I'm using a macbook by the way

It means that your computer has a processor that is PowerPC based, that was before Apple switch to Intel. Since most emulators support Intel, they most likely switched to programming for Intel. You have to find an emulator that will allow you to use a PowerPC processor.
