What are your computers specs? What version of Direct-X are you using? Whats your OS?
I got Project 64 on my computer a few days ago to play Super Smash Bros. Unfortunately, it is running very slow and the audio is distorted, stuttering, and choppy. I am suspecting it is a problem with my computer, but I want to check to be sure. Here is a list of things I have tried:
Attempt: Turned off/on the FPS limiter
Outcome: Turning it off increases the framerate, but has no visible effect.
Attempt: Checked "Sync Game To Audio"
Outcome: No visible effect.
Attempt: In the "Configure RSP Plugin" section, checked "Send Audio Lists to Audio Plugin"
Outcome: Worsened the audio to the point it did not sound like the game audio at all.
Attempt: In the "Configure RSP Plugin" section, unchecked "Send Display Lists to Graphics Plugin"
Outcome: Fixed the audio, but froze the visual (or completely turned to black) while the audio continued to run like normal.

I use Windows XP and have the latest version of Direct X.
Have you tried using differ audio plugins asides from the default?
