Default Need to find way of playing copied ps1 games on another device

    Hello,
My daughter has dozens upon dozens of old PS1 (copied) games from when she had her chipped PS1. she now no longer has the PS1 but she does have a PS2 (not chipped) and a Nintendo Wii as welll as our PC (XP). I do have my laptop (windows 7) but would rather not let her use this.
Is there any way I can work it so she can play the copied games from the old chipped PS1 on her PS2 or Wii or at a stretch the PC ? Or can I convert them to a format that will work wih either PS2 or Wii ?
Please bear in mind that I am no techno expert, but can follow instructions, although if unsure I may have to query something.
Many thanks for reading this, and hopefully someone can help.
To show just how thick I am I'm not even sure what an emulator is, is it a program you run on another machine so you can play games from a different kind of device ? duuuuhhhh sorry for being so dumb.
    Best Wishes

PS2 or Wii or at a stretch the PC ?
The stretch is the easiest of the 3. ePSXe is the answer. You can get it from this page's download section. No you can not convert ps1 to ps2, and I do believe there are emulator for ps1 that you can run on a ps2 but the work involved is much greater then doing it on a computer.
FYI, there are a dozen ps1 to usb adapters so she can use the same controllers she had on the ps1 or even use the ps2 controllers to play.
Original, the only way to play.

Hi, im new here as you can see but im clued up with Playstation 1. I own 3 big'n's and a ps1 with a tonne of original games and copies, 2 are chipped by myself and I also have a Gamars VCD card and a Cheap Action replay copy. id say easiest option is to use Epsxe on the old PC. As long as its above about 400MHZ and has a fair bit of RAM you should be fine. One thing to note is you are gonna want a pad, preferably a PS1 and and adaptor to plug it into USB. I also believe that a Xbox 360 pad plugs atraight in and works.

Or you could buy or find (Via skiprat methods or good ole' freecycle) a cheap ps1. theyre usually already chipped nowdays and you can get em as cheap as a fiver or try Swapz, if not get a cheap cheat cartridge and it will play backups, or learn how to "Disc swap" though you need the right original to play some copies, something to do with tracks or something. Chipping is actually dead easy with basic soldering skills...its just finding a chip nowdays.

Will be pleased to help anymore, i feel somewhat of a expert (IMO) on playstation 1 lol.
