epsxe sudden sound issue with ff7

I was playing ff7 on epsxe the other day but needed to be able to hear something else going on on the computer, so I disabled the sound plugin to stop the epsxe volume. Now, even when I turn the sound plugin on, I get no sound for that game/save spot. Other games work fine, but for some reason I now have no sound on ff7. Any help? I'm using epsxe 1.5.2 (didn't realize I had such an old version. I'll upgrade on the next game) and eternal spu plugin 1.50 for sound
NVM: the sound was only off for that save point (via F3). Simply saved by the normal way and sound is back
